FAQS

Do you offer consultations?

Yes! I offer free consultations. I normally consult with my clients during their appointments, right before starting their service, to make sure we’re on the same page about what they want. If you’d like to book a consultation prior to your appointment, you’re more than welcome to do that as well. Consultations are the most important part of any appointment, some clients like to come in beforehand while other don’t mind discussing the day of.

What happens if I’m late?

If you’re late that just takes away time from me giving you a proper service as I’ll most likely have other clients in between or after your service. I will try my best to do what I can given the amount of time I have, but it’s important to try to come on time. If you’re extremely late, that might lead me to have to cancel the whole appointment as I need a certain amount of time to do each service.

What if I have to cancel my appointment?

I understand that things happen and plans change so cancellations may occur from time to time. Please try and notify me 48-24 hours in advance. This provides other clients an opportunity to take your appointment should you no longer be free to keep yours.  A charge of 50% of the service is expected to be paid VIA e-transfer for any last minute cancellations or rescheduled appointments if notice is less than 24 hours.

SHOULD I come with my hair dirty or clean?

The dirtier, the better. Please do not come in with half wet hair from the morning of. Colour actually deposits better when hair is dirty. It’s also easier to backcomb, if necessary when I’m doing certain techniques, when the hair isn’t clean. Also, you’re coming to get your hair done so it’ll get nice and washed by me anyways!

HOW LIGHT CAN YOU GET MY HAIR AFTER ONE SESSION?

If you’re a new client, I most likely won’t give you a definite answer. Everyone’s hair lifts differently based on your hair history and genetics, so it’s very hard to predict how light your hair can get, especially if I’ve never done it before. For the most part, it usually takes more than one session to get really blonde. It’s not impossible, but it’s better to be more realistic and expect a number of sessions to get there.

What’s wrong with drugstore shampoo and conditioner?

Drugstore products have certain parabens and sulfates in them which can cause your hair to be dry and frizzy, your colour also fades a lot faster and it can also irritate your scalp. Spend a few extra bucks on professional shampoo and conditioner and you’ll notice a huge difference. If you’re going to spend hundreds of dollars getting a colour service done, it’s important to invest in professional products to maintain your hair as well.

When should I use purple shampoo?

Depending on how often you wash your hair, I recommend clients to use it once every 2 weeks or so. Purple shampoo shouldn’t be used as a regular shampoo as it can be very drying. Only use it when your hair starts to look a little brassy/yellow.

Are you mobile for weddings?

Yes, I provide mobile services for wedding parties for additional service fees. These fees cover the cost of gas, time and convenience. A consultation is recommended so this is all discussed and agreed to prior to your wedding date.

Is a trim the same cost as a cut?

Yes, a trim is the same cost as a cut. Regardless of how much length you want to take off, a cut is a cut. Whether or not you want to take off an inch vs. 10 inches, the cost is always the same.

Do you take walk ins?

I do not take walk ins. A lot of my services offered require a lot of time and care. Being an appointment only business ensures that I can make enough time for each and every one of my clients.

Is it okay if I show you inspo photos?

Yes! I absolutely love it when clients show me multiple photos of what their trying to achieve. This helps me better understand what you want as a lot of people use the wrong terminology or at times, can see colours differently.
